Physicals
Every year it is required that student athletes receive a physical for them to participate in the PIAA sanctioned athletic events. This is a requirement through the PA Department of Health. Physicals must be dated less then 6 weeks before the season begins- not on or before June 1st. Please print out the attached forms and have them turned in as soon as you can. Forms can be dropped off to Tommy Mealy at school (Monday thru Thursday 8am to 2pm) at his mailbox, email to him at tmealy@bishopmcdevitt.org, or mail to his attention. Please remember that these forms are to be in prior to the start of preseason. This year we are requesting that all forms are to be in at least 1 week prior to preseason.

Unfortunately due to the coronavirus pandemic UPMC will not come on campus to conduct athletic physicals for fall sports (and probably all year). They will offer two 4-hour blocks where our athletes can go there but those dates are TBD and we won't have those dates and times until after the 4th of July holiday at some point. McD is encouraging all of the fall sport athletes to go and see your own health care provider to get your physical.

There is a McD activity fee that is $75 per athlete for their first sport and $50 for the second sport. This can be turned in the same time your physicals are turned in. Checks should be made payable to: Bishop McDevitt High School, and on the memo line please indicate which port is being played.

All students must have medical insurance. If you do not have adequate coverage please see the athletic director immediately to discuss available options.

Again the packet information needs to be completed in its entirety. Parent/Guardian signatures are required in several places. If the packet is not filled out completely, you may not be able to participate until completed.

About the Schedule
Games are subjected to changed due to weather, referees, and possible other events.
TBA games will be updated as soon as we find out what time they will be at.
Arrival times will be the arrival of the player at MCD stadium. Bus times are subjected to change but the athlete will be informed of the time by the coaching staff and/or the AD. We would prefer the athletes to arrive at the scheduled time promptly to have ample time to get situated on the bus, to hold role call, and to leave on time.
Timing is everything.
"Early is on time, on time in late, and late is never acceptable"
